What's on my desk?

In today’s working world, lots of us bloggers spend more time at the office than we do at home… or anywhere else, for that matter. Which is why your desk is such an important space. Lucky for us, there's so much adorable (and functional) desk décor out there to choose from.

But it’s not just what’s on your desk that matters. Since we spend so much time working, it’s important to be prepared for anything, which is why I took some photos of all my items on my desk that almost every women should keep in case of an emergency. You never know when you’ll have a last minute after-work date, or when your trusty phone needs a little extra charge. And if you have a friend who just landed a new job, it can be a nice little gift to put together her office emergency kit for her. Take a look...

1. Cell-phone charger
There’s nothing worse than having your phone die in the middle of the workday. Whether you’re using it to make after-work plans with friends or for work-related tasks like email or scheduling, these days your mobile phone is a crucial part of your 9-5. I recommend keeping a USB cord plugged into your computer so that you can charge while you work. You can also pick up a back-up charger just in case, mine is from Lidl, bought a while ago and you can see it here and it was super super cheap, cute and functional!

2. Gum or breathe mints
No one wants to talk business while smelling your coffee breath! Keep some gum or mints nearby, so that you can have fresh breath all day long (no matter what you eat or drink).
3. Face cleanser, nail polish remover and some Advils
You should always have some of these things stocked inside one of your drawers, especially some Advil, you never know when that headache might strike.
4. Hair Ties
You never know when you’re going to want to throw your hair up in the middle of the day. I keep a pack of hair ties in my desk, so I can go from straight hair do look to a ballerina bun in a snap.
5. Lip Balm and Mascara
If you’re heading to happy hour after work or going to an event, it’s best to keep some beauty reinforcements on hand. Just a swipe of mascara and a hint of lipgloss, and you’re ready to go!

6. Snacks
When your mid-afternoon cravings hit, keep some nuts, dried fruit, granola bars, or oatmeal packets in your desk. They’re great for when you need a healthy pick-me-up, and don’t want to be tempted to buy something out of the nearby Skopje bakeries.
7. Camera, phone, tablet and laptop
Things that we bloggers can't live without. I have them at any time near me, so that I can post my blogposts quickly and efficiently.
8. Hand Sanitizer
When one person in an office gets sick, it can be hard to avoid catching the bug. Keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer tucked in your desk drawer, which is your best defence against the flu that’s bound to spread around your workplace every once in a while.
9. Perfume
Always have some perfume on you and near you, you never know when a hot guy might walk in your office.

10. Book/s
A good book is a sure way to kill a lazy workday, pick one or two and have a read when it's a slow day, or when you're taking your lunch break.
11. Fresh shirt
Always keep one of those, if you find yourself with no time to go home, get changed and put on a brand new shirt before heading out to meet the girls, or your boyfriend, this is a great way to do that.

12. Headphones
I use big headphones, and stream some music while I get inspired to work, or do some research for what to write next on my blog. It's a great way to kill some time, have your spirit lift and make yourself smile.

13. The rest
Is just typical office supplies, a tube of hand cream to keep your hands soft on cold winter days like these, and a lint roller to get rid of all the pieces that get stuck on your clothes during the day.

Hope some of these things were helpful enough for you guys!
