Essence "The Little Xmas Factory" Trend Edition (Review+Swatches)

Hello my loves 🙋 It's been a while since my last blogpost because I've kind of been focusing on my new YouTube channel (which you can check out with just one click on the YouTube icon in my social media above to your right), so yes I've been quite busy with that for the past month. So on Thursday I went out to shop for some Christmas makeup collections and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the essence little xmas factory collection arrived in our dm drugstores. I was super super excited that even though I didn't plan on buying essence products that day, when I saw them I just had to get at least 2 things with me. I ended up buying 2 of the xmas products, an essence brow set and also a set of the gorgeous maybelline blushed palette which was on sale at the same drugstore.

Below I'll just be showing you the 2 essence xmas products I bought, and for the others I'll probably feature them on my YouTube channel, I think that that's a fair thing to do right? 😀 Ok, so without a further ado let's get to it...

Reviews

The palette in the shade "01 north pole express delivery" contains 5 baked eyeshadows which give you actual Christmas in a palette with loads of shimmer. The eyeshadows have melting ice engraved on them and they look super cute. The colours are unfortunately weaker pigmented, as usual by most of the essence eyeshadows that I have used, but actually I don’t really mind that because I don’t tend to apply eyeshadow with brushes, but instead all I do is just dip my fingers in whatever eyeshadow I plan on using and put it on my eyelid, and that actually works every time and it sort of gives me more control over how much I’m putting certain colour on my eyelids. Inside the palette is a mirror which is quite handy and also the palette itself is so small and practical that I would actually take it anywhere with me. I got this for only 3.99 € and I definitely plan on using it to create a beautiful New Years and Christmas look.

Probably the cutest offering from the collection is the Essence The Little X-Mas Factory Contouring Palette (3.99 €). There is only the one shade "01 Elf Yourself!".It offers both highlight and contour inside. I was surprised to find that the contour powder was quite sheer but built up easily to a nice colour. Because the coverage was buildable, I actually think this will suit most skin tones as you can simply apply less if you’re fair or more if you’re dark. Unfortunately for me the highlighter had so many glitter particles in it and it was so white on my skin that I decided on using it as an eyeshadow base because it just didn't do it for me as a highlighter.
