For my Blogmas Day 7, I thought I'd share with you some quick thoughts regarding my experience with one of the most famous makeup sponge in the makeup industry....

6 December 2019

Hey guys! For today's Blogmas post we are continuing on with part 2 of the review of my Avon Cosmetics products 😁

So let's continue...

5 December 2019

For Blogmas Day 5 I have planned out to share with you my thoughts on a few beauty products specifically by Avon Cosmetics so that you'll know how each of them performs if you happen to decide on buying some of them.

So... let's get into part 1 of the review!

For Blogmas Day 4 I decided to share with you the full Catrice Nail Lacquer collection that I proudly happen to own 😎.

3 December 2019

For today's Blogmas Day 3 I'll be sharing with you a short review of a few Bourjois products I've testing out throughout the past year.

So... let's begin!

1. Air Mat foundation (01 Rose Ivory)

This charming looking product comes in a squeezy tube making it super convenient for travelling, I bought mine in the lightest shade and it matches my skin quite well during summer days, but not quite so much during these cold months. For anyone who's paler than me, you might need to look elsewhere when it comes to foundations. There are only 8 shades available which is such a shame that loads of you won't be able to try it out for yourselves.

Texture-wise it is a semi-thick, medium coverage foundation which is a finish I prefer nowadays due to my acne-prone skin. It comes of quite on the yellow side, which I don't really prefer anymore cause I like more neutral shades at the moment, but it's not that bad ones you blend it out all the way down your neck. The lasting power over the day is very nice and lasted for about 15-16 hours which for a drugstore foundation is more than satisfactory.

2. Healthy Mix BB cream (01 Light)

Guys I literally swear this is the Healthy Mix foundation in a tube! I'm so annoyed that I spent my money on the exact same product just in a different packaging, it has only 3 shades, sales for half the price of the foundation and half the amount of the foundation's product. Don't get me wrong I still love this product as much as the foundation itself, but sadly I won't be repurchasing it due to the fact that it is the same product only differently packaged. For more detailed review on this product as it is the exact same thing, read my review on the foundation right here.

3. Rouge Laque (shade 02)

This version of a liquid lipstick by Bourjois is a product that I love so much! It is basically a lip paint, so lightweight that you have no idea, so non-drying, non-sticky and very very long lasting. You can easily take it off with some micellar water or some makeup wipes.

4. Rouge Edition Velvet (shades 09 & 11)

The main difference between these 2 lipsticks and the previous one I mentioned is the fact that the Rouge Laque is more of a matte liquid lipstick, and the Rouge Edition Velvets are just what the name itself suggests... they have a velvety feel on the lips and you can't even feel them on the lips cause they are super super buttery!

5. Effet 3D Lipgloss (shade 08)

This gloss comes in a slim packaging that typically most of the Bourjois glosses come in. It is a sturdy transparent packaging and comes with a paint-like brush applicator which I really love. The texture is very light and smooth, not at all sticky nor heavy and glides on easily on the lips, feeling so so comfortable on them. The technique I use to apply this is that I put on a bit on the lips with the brush it comes with and then smudge it further on with my ring finger. That way you'll never layer too much lipgloss, just enough to keep them moist and feeling good.

That is all for today's BlogMas Day 3 my darlings. I hope you liked it and will continue to read on throughout the next few weeks leading up to Christmas.

I have naturally big lashes, but I'm constantly looking for a mascara which can give me big voluminous lashes.

1 December 2019

Hello my loves! Long time no see... Welcome to the first blog post of this year's Blogmas!

Throughout the next few weeks leading up to Christmas, I'll be posting each day one blog post, so I'd like to welcome you on this journey with me, and hope that you'll enjoy all that I have in store for you.

If Anastasia Beverly Hills is known for one thing, it's their eyeshadow palettes. Once in a while this brand takes a break from lipsticks and highlighters and shakes the makeup world to its core.

When I first saw it I was immediately smitten and thought to myself that whenever I get the chance to take a trip to the nearest Sephora I will get my hands on this purple beauty.

What's important to point out is the fact that this particular palette is cruelty-free, like the rest of Anastasia Beverly Hills‘ products, but not vegan, and it's made in the USA.

The Norvina Eyeshadow Palette arrives in a purple velvet compact which also holds a mirror inside, a dual-ended eyeshadow brush, and 14 eyeshadow shades that are 0.02 oz each.

The shades included in this palette are:
  • Dreamer (Metallic pink champagne)
  • Summer (Foiled golden topaz)
  • Wild Child (Duo chrome frosty pink with a magenta shift)
  • Rose Gold (Metallic rosewood)
  • Celestial (Duo chrome plum with a violet shift)
  • Dazzling (Cool-tone bronze with a violet shift)
  • Drama (Duo chrome aubergine with a cool bronze shift)
  • Base (Matte eggshell)
  • Soul (Matte wisteria)
  • Incense (Matte dusty terra-cotta)
  • Love (Matte mid-tone cool pink)
  • Volatile (Matte warm charcoal)
  • Eccentric (Matte dark burnt orange)
  • Passion (Matte deep garnet)

I'm so obsessed with the fact that this palette unlike others before is strictly divided into to specific eyeshadow rows. The first row is filled with shimmer shades and the second are all matte eyeshadows.

All of the eyeshadows have soft, powdery texture as all the other palettes from the brand. All you need to do is just barely tap into whichever shade you feel like and your brush will be fully coated.

I find the shades to be super buttery, soft, and intensely pigmented. All of them were amazing upon application whether they were applied onto set eyelids or not.

I do have just a small advice for all of you who are purchasing an eyeshadow palette from the ABH brand. Apply the matte shades lightly and with slow tapping motions on your crease, just to avoid any patches which will appear if you start blending the shadows with intense motions all at once.

Be warned that you may experience fallout when applying the mattes if you don't tap off the excess eyeshadow pigment of the brush, and this also stands for the simmers as well.

I advice to apply the shimmer shadows with your fingers by lightly taping on the shimmer shadow onto the eyelid. You can also take a packing brush, dip in just a tiny bit in the shimmer shadow of your choice and then take the brush and spray it with some fixing spray to give it a bit of moister and it will simply go on the lid like butter on bread.

I simply have to point out that I adore this palette and that it is truly an amazing amazing product! The pigmentation is on point, the colour selection is gorgeous and unique, and it just works with little to no effort spent on your part.

The only negative thing is the fact that it is way too expensive...but at the same time so worth it's price point if you like that sort of colour spectrum and a great quality in eyeshadows.

It is an absolute standout in my eyeshadow palette collection and the first ABH purchase that I'll cherish forever.

That's all my loves.

Till next time,
