November Newbies

This week I got a bunch of new products and tried them all out to see if they are any good. I am a person who is all for exploring different brands, but sometimes when you find a brand of great quality it's hard not to stick to it. Below there are products from Essence and Aura, my two favorite brands at the moment, so take a look 😊...

When applied individually or in combination on the cheekbones, bridge of the nose or below the lips, these three highlighter powders with light-reflecting pigments accentuate the features with a light pearl, intensive shimmer or golden glow finish. This palette is the only product in this collection that I think is a total miss for me because I can only use the third shade which is a gold highlight that looks great on my skin, but the other two are unusable at all for me due to the fact that the first shade has almost no glow at all and the second or middle one has just way too much shine and shimmer, and when your outside and the sun hits you you're literally looking like a disco ball.😃

The matt touch blush with a soft powder texture creates a matt finish on your cheeks gives your complexion a fresh touch of colour for a healthy look. On the picture it looks a bit dark, but this is actually a shade 30 rose me up! which I find perfect because I like a more neutral color on my cheeks.

The shimmer bronzing powder from the Essence sun club range provides your face and neckline with a shimmering, lightly tanned finish. Its silky-smooth texture looks great on my pale skin, and I use it carefully because it's for darker skin tone, but at the same time it's strangely kind of working for me.

If you prefer pressed powder, this fine, compact powder is for you! It can be applied above foundation to mattify your skin and set your make-up, for a matt, natural and smooth complexion. After trying this thing I will definitely not be using my old essence pressed powder anymore because this new product is just way better.

Beauty partner: make-up and concealer in one
The texture offers long-lasting, high coverage to hide all skin imperfections and provides a matt and flawless finish – without a mask-like effect. As someone who has constant problem with blemish this is the perfect product to use to hide my imperfections and I highly recommend you try it as well if you're dealing with the same problem as I am.

The texture is different from the primers I used before, this one is more like a cream. My skin sucked it in quickly and almost instantly gave me a healthy shine and a fresh look. If I didn't have as much blemishes I probably would just use this product on my face and would not put on any foundation. Conceals small blemishes and skin redness and some of the pores. It is recommended for all skin types, but I am sure that the ones with dry skin will like it best. What is even more important that this primer does not irritate the skin, so even if you have very sensitive skin feel free to use this. This makes my makeup and the foundation more durable and it stays in place for a long time, for ex. I tested it today and it managed to keep my makeup in place for exactly 9 hours which is amazing for a product this cheap (5 euros).

Last, but not least the Aura makeup brushes that I can not leave without at the moment. I had them for almost a week and they immediately became one of my favorites. There is basically a brush for everything, from foundation to smudging, powder, blush, lip liner, etc. I highly recommend to any of you who have a drugstore near you and they are selling this brand to go and get yourself these brushes.

So that's it guys, comment if you need some more info on the products 😉

15 Years With Kate Moss

So, as many of you might be aware by now I am IN LOVE with Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipsticks. They are by far my favourite drugstore lipsticks, their colour selection is beautiful, they’re pigmented, they last forever and they have an amazing subtle scent. When I found out that Kate Moss was doing a lipstick collection celebrating her 15 years of collaboration with Rimmel, I knew that I had to have those lippies, and now I finally do!

The most striking thing about this collection is the packaging. The packaging is metallic rose gold with silver and red detailing and it looks very chic and expensive. There are six shades that have been hand picked by Kate Moss and it comprises of three classic reds and three nudes. There are supposedly stories behind the choice of each of these colours, but I mostly fell in love with them because of their colours, their formula, and well, everything really :-D.

The 6 shades that I'll be presenting below are:

Muse Red #51 – blue undertones for cool toned skin
Idol Red #52 – orange based for warm skin
Retro Red #53 – deep, plum tones for neutral
Rock N Roll Nude #54 – pinky nude for cool skin tones
My Nude #55 – neutral nude for neutral skin tone
Boho Nude #56 – apricot tones for warm tones

Like her other collections, there’s one red and one nude shade designed to suit your skin tone. I’ve been a fan of these lipsticks for years, but they just keep getting better and better!

This collection is available now for £6.49 each (here).

Without a further ado, here they are...

These lipsticks are creamy, very pigmented and apply very evenly and they do last a decent amount of time on the lips and are very comfortable to wear. I found that each shade wore hours on the lips but tended to wear off completely when eating or drinking, but they are really easy to reapply and don't make your lips feel chapped and dry throughout the day.

Overall I am so impressed with this collection and I have been wearing them every day since getting them (my favourites are Boho Nude and Retro Red). I am actually really bummed that it's a limited edition collection and would love to see Rimmel expand this range with more shades. If this collection peaks your interest, I definitely suggest checking it out at your local dm drugstores in Skopje before it's completely sold out.

Till next time...

Makeup Travel Case

1.What's in my makeup travel case?
2.What are the essential makeup things you need to bring with you when you go abroad?
3.Is less more?

These are the questions that I will be answering below in just a moment.

Okay, so a few weeks ago I planned a little travel schedule and on it was a few days stay-in in Thessaloniki which actually happens to be finally this week and as you're reading this I probably am already traveling or maybe I've already arrived at my final destination. This post was prepared a few days ago while I was packing my things, and I just set the right time for it to publish and here it is guys. Without further ado let's get on to those answers I promised...

What's in my makeup travel case?

Some of these products are newbies that I recently acquired and some are just products that you might have recently seen in my previous post here. I've been using some of these for a very long time and can't imagine leaving the house without them. My most recent items in this case are the gorgeous 15 years anniversary limited edition lipsticks by Kate Moss that I got recently and am so looking forward to trying them out. They were the most difficult items to find and buying them was a real challenge. I only took the 4 shades with me for this trip, and when I get back I'm planning on writing a review on all 6 shades this collection has to offer, and will be deciding on whether or not they deserve to be a part of my next favorites post in December.

What are the essential makeup things you need to bring with you when you go abroad?

So for me the most essential makeup things to bring with you are the basic ones, and when I say basic I mean: mascara, lipstick or lipgloss (at least 2 shades), foundation, powder, highlighter, bronzer, blusher. If you manage to buy a kit where you get the last 3 items I just mentioned in one place then that would be a huge plus. Also don't forget the brushes and your beauty blender if you have one, if not you've got to get one, because it's a serious lifesaver.

Is less more?

I am a girl that likes the idea of putting lots of different kinds and brands of makeup on her face, but usually just ends up using the same old basics at the end of the day. That is not such a bad thing at all because I don't want to cake myself up everyday and have tons of things sprung all over my face. Over time I actually learned that that was the thing that made me more beautiful and more natural every time when I looked at myself in the mirror. Also as much as I adore makeup, I am the worst applier ever and before I get that perfect eyeliner line it usually takes about an hour of effort that I don't really have time to waste on. So I guess it's fine that I am not a pro at this and I try to learn as much as I can from people who actually do know what they are doing when it comes to makeup.

Remember that makeup is suppose to bring out your natural beauty and just hide a little bit of those imperfections we all have and not turn us into something that we are not. For me that is why less is always more.

P.S. If you want info on the products shades and numbers comment below.

October Favorites

If I had my own YouTube channel I probably would have had a lot easier task of filling you guys in on my top favorite October products. But since I'm still figuring that part out and considering my options, I decided to just stick with what I know for now and make a new blog post for you.

Okay, so below I will be showing and giving opinions on different products that I've used throughout the last 3 months, so read on 😊

Cien Facial Toner is a product that I use every day whenever I feel like my skin is getting dry or when I have some new red looking pimples on my face. I just apply it all over my face and let it sit there for about 3 to 4 hours and the effect is amazing afterwords. The skin is looking calmer and more hydrated. I am someone who has combined skin and is really difficult to find a product like this one that actually works for your skin and does wonders. I buy it from Lidl whenever I take a trip down to Greece and have a stock full of bottles like this one just in case. I think it's like 2 euros, I don't really remember cause it's the cheapest product ever, and it also has a twin sister which is pink and is for dry skin type only. My advice is to try it if you have problems with redness and pimples and have combined skin like mine.

This is a product I swear by, it is really cheap and it does the trick perfectly. I use it during showers just so I don't have to apply any sorts of body or hand creams that prevent dryness. I hate putting on tons and tons of creams, so this shower gel has some sorts of ingredients that make my skin hydrated and also leaves an amazing sent all over my body. You can buy it in any drugstore and market.

Okay so usually people don't use this brand of hair shampoo, but I kinda love head and shoulders. This is a citrus fresh edition which I bought when I was in Greece from one of their markets, and has proven to be an amazing shampoo. It gets rid of the whites in my hair and leaves behind an amazing smell of citrus. Also I have no problem brushing my hair while it is wet, which for me it's sort of difficult to do, but I guess this guy has some sorts of ingredients that make my hair brush easily or sth like that. So all in all I highly recommend this shampoo if you have a long and thick hair like mine.

The head and shoulders I bought myself, but recently my mum got me this fruity smelling paradise for my hair and it's from Garnier, which is a really good brand btw, and made a fantastic shampoo. It basically does the same trick as the other shampoo and am really really fond of this one as well and highly recommend it.

This nail polish remover is my lifesaver when it comes to easily wiping off in one swift move the rest of my nail polish without leaving any sorts of stains from the polish on my fingers. I also bought it from Lidl for about a euro and sth, pretty cheap so if you have a chance to buy it please do and you won't be disappointed at all.

For those of you who don't know I as many other girls have problems with cellulite, so before working out with my aerobics instructor in the studio, I put on some of this awesome stuff all over my legs and tummy, and get dressed afterwords in my training clothes. The result is that you sweat so much and lose even more weight and most importantly cellulite and fat, and after a quick shower all that sweat and cream washes off and you're left with a great result. Just remember that you have to use it every time before going to the gym for about 1 to 2 months for it to show the results on your body.

For those of you ladies who have problems with redness caused by shaving under your underarms this is the answer to your prayers. This lovely looking product will not only make your underarms smell amazing and make you sweat less, but it will also calm your irritated skin. I highly recommend for any of you to buy this.

Xtina is definitely famous for her beautiful fragrances, and this is the one of the two that I own that actually deserved to be on my favorites list. It was a gift from my boyfriend for my 22nd birthday a few months ago, and he knew how much I was dying to have it and finally got it for me. The smell is intense and simply addictive. I wear it all day every day, it's basically a day or night sort of fragrance and is very long lasting, sometimes for even days. I highly recommend it.

Many of you must have seen this gorgeous Dior makeup travel kit on my instagrams recently, so naturally I put it on my favorites list. This is the 3rd Dior palette I have owned and am absolutely in love with. It is such a handy little thing for when I travel somewhere and want to simply look my best, but I also don't want to carry a ton of makeup products in my bag. It was a gift from my dad for my birthday, and am so really pleased that I finally have it and that he finally listened to my begging to buy me this.

This is the old packaging of this RimmelLondon foundation, it's in colour true ivory and am so far very content with it. You can wear it day or night, and hopefully not for 25 hours :-D, but at least for 12 which is how much I usually wear it throughout the day. The coverage is pretty good, but for someone who has constant showing of 1 to 3 red pimples on her face on a daily bases I'd recommend to either put on a second layer of foundation, or to just apply a concealer before the foundation and that would sort of do the trick. Other then the fact that it poorly covers my pimples, all in all it is a great lasting foundation that I recommend buying.

I never used a makeup setter before cause I usually just set my makeup with a powder, but I recently got this product from one of dm's sub brands and it's called alverde, which I most definitely recommend. It fixes everything nicely for about 12 hours, which is more then anyone needs really, and is extra cheap, about 3 to 4 euros or sth like that.

I am a huge fan of the red lip, so for anyone who shares my passion, I recommend you try these two RimmelLondon by Kate Moss lipsticks. The red packaging is the matte line and the black one is the lasting finish lipstick line. I couldn't say which one I like more, because I like both equally, and mix both of them together when I need a more edgier look, and when I like to compliment my outfit. RimmelLondon makes loads of great and affordable products that I simply can't leave without and these are one of many that I use. I recommend that you buy at least one lipstick per line, so that you may see what I'm really talking about.

Another pair from RimmelLondon, one for those of you who love those 3d lash effects, and for those of you who just love a bigger brush to add more mascara on your lashes and make them feel longer and thicker. I highly recommend you to try these and also the new scandaleyes RELOADED mascara.

I'm not really a fan of lipgloss because on a windy day your hair gets all stock to it, but this one, I wanted to give a chance and try it out. The colour is amazing, a very gentle pink that gives great effect on your lips and makes them shine. The only downside is the fact that it erases really quickly after you eat or drink sth and it also leaves a bit of some round stuff around the corners of your mouth after a few hours of use. So all in all I'd say that I 50:50 recommend using this product.

This is the concealer that I was talking about earlier that makes my pimples more covered and unnoticeable. I highly recommend it, it leaves a great final result, it lasts up to 12 or 13 hours which is great for the money I gave cause it was about 3 euros.

I'm the clumsiest person ever when it comes to applying makeup, so this little thing really eases the whole process of putting on eyeshadow when I need to. The colour is a mix of brown, gold and creme, and it is a liquid eyeshadow with a brush inside that you can easily use. Highly recommended.

I rarely use an eyeliner, but when I do this is the thing to make that happen. I know that you'll say that H&M is a clothing store and they haven't got a clue how to create makeup products, well I'm going to say that you're in the wrong. Just because it was made by a clothing brand, it doesn't mean that it's not good. The brush inside is really thin and when applied on your eye lids it looks absolutely fantastic. Also it's not removed easily, so you can wear it even when it's raining outside and get away with it.

Another Cien/Lidl product that I love love love. Both of these colours are great to wear either in summer or wintery seasons, and they last for more then 2 weeks. Highly recommended.

This is the makeup setting powder that I was talking about earlier. It's extra cheap and it does the trick. You can even see that by how much I actually used it and really need to get myself another one.

And last, but not least, my favorite eos lipbalm. I am so in love with eos that I even became a collector, and must have every colour and shape out there. The smell of strawberry is simply devine and will make your lips more gentle and moist. Highly recommended.

Okay guys, so that was it for this months favorites, there will be more products to come on my next favorites blog post. Subscribe so you won't miss it, and...

Till next time
