CATRICE HD LIQUID COVERAGE FOUNDATION

Recently I've been experimenting with a bunch of different foundations from different brands and putting them to the ultimate test.

I bought the Catrice HD in my local dm markt drugstore for a super affordable price of €7.50 and know without a doubt that I'll for sure be repurchasing this product, so stick around to find out why.

Bare in mind before I wrote this post that I made sure I used this foundation multiple times throughout the day and night time, so let me share my thoughts on it 😊

I chose the shade 010 Light Beige, which is the 4th lightest shade in the range and is thankfully a perfect match for my skin tone.

This product claims to have:

* Lightweight and non-oily texture that feels like a second skin

* Provides long-lasting full coverage without a mask effect and creates an even complexion

* It has an HD finish for a camera ready skin

* It's dermatologically tested

*Shake well before use.

I love the packaging of this foundation so much that it makes me feel like I'm using some expensive high-end product.

The bottle is made of mattified glass that looks really luxurious and is heavy to the touch. It also has a dropper which is such a smart way to keep the product inside clean and sanitary, and also dispenses just the right amount you need to do your whole face.

I use my blending sponge to apply this foundation onto the skin and like to drop one drop from the dispenser.

The finish is a very nice soft matte and it looks and feels amazing on the skin.

It is worth mentioning that using a setting powder to set this foundation is a big NO NO in my book.
In my humble opinion the powder only makes you look heavy and cakey and will dry out your skin completely.

I would also recommend that you do a good hydrating and priming of your skin before application especially if you suffer from dehydrated skin like mine.

So instead of using that setting powder, just use some setting spray instead and you're good to go.

Here is a swatch of the shade 010 Light that I use:

As you can see from the images, the foundation is very thin and runny. I prefer it this way as I find that it's easier to build up the coverage to my desired effect.

The foundation has a medium coverage that can be built to a full one. It dries surprisingly fast, so you need to work quick with your makeup tool upon application.

Overall my full impression is that this is one of the best foundations Catrice has ever made.

I love the super light consistency, the buildable coverage and great longevity.

I would highly recommend you to try it out and see for yourself!

P.S. it is super affordable 😊
